Hello 2010! New Years Eve at t.b.d, Brooklyn

Revelers cheered in the New Year at t.b.d. bar in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with style, and, judging from some of their portraits, an undetermined amount of liquid courage!

My sincerest gratitude to all those who stopped by for a photo or two. May the New Year bring all of you health, prosperity and relief from your crippling hangovers courtesy of Allen and Diane and their heavy-handed bartenders!

New York Cares Winter Wishes

"The holiday season is a special time of year, a time filled with excitement and anticipation. Sadly, many families do not have the means to purchase even the most basic holiday gift.

This winter, thanks to the incredible generosity of New Yorkers, New York Cares was able to help fulfill the holiday wishes of 32,000 disadvantaged kids and families."- NY Cares Website

At the P.S./I.S. 140 - The Nathan Straus School holiday party, Bank of America matched a volunteer with an individual child.  Together they built graham cracker "gingerbread" houses. Then children and volunteers shared a pizza lunch and a reading from "The Gingerbread Baby" followed by Winter Wishes gift distribution.
